NOTICE INVITING APPLICATIONS

  1. Applications are invited from duly registered Langar Organizations (LOs)/ Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) etc. for consideration of grant of permission to establish and operate Langars/ provide associated service(s), as may be required, during Shri Amarnathji Yatra, 2026.
  2. Interested organizations shall submit their application on their official letter-head, duly signed by the authorized signatory along with all relevant documents, including name of organization, registration details (Society/ Trust etc.), years of langar experience, previous Yatra(s) served, if any, volunteers/ sewadaar strength to be deployed in a Langar/ service etc.
  3. Applications are required to be submitted by email to sasbjk2001[at]gmail[dot]com
  4. The applications must be submitted on the above mentioned email address by or before 1700 Hours on 25.03.2026.
  5. Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB) reserves the right to accept, reject, or cancel any application, in whole or in part, without assigning any reason, whatsoever.
  6. The decision of SASB regarding grant or refusal of permission shall be final and binding on all applicants, and no correspondence in this regard shall be entertained.
  7. The organizations shortlisted for providing services during Yatra 2026 shall be required to separately comply with and abide by the terms & conditions applicable to Langar Organizations (LOs)/ Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) etc. for Yatra, 2026, as may be prescribed by SASB from time to time.

Do's for the Yatris
  • It is mandatory for every registered Yatri to collect his / her RFID Card from designated locations in Jammu / Kashmir Division before embarking on the Yatra.
  • Carry your Aadhaar details for collecting RFID Cards
  • Wear your RFID tag on your neck at all times during Yatra for safety & security.
  • Do carry sufficient woolen clothing as the temperature may sometimes abruptly fall to below 5 degree Celsius.
  • Do carry umbrella, wind cheater, raincoat, and waterproof shoes as the weather in the Yatra area is unpredictable.
  • Do keep your clothes and eatables in a suitable water proof bag to avoid your belongings getting wet.
  • Do keep in your pocket a note containing the name / address, mobile telephone number of any Yatri proceeding for Darshan on the same date as you are doing, for emergency purposes.
  • Do carry your identity card / driving license and Yatra permit with you.
Don'ts for the Yatris
  • No registered yatri shall be allowed to emabark on Yatra without RFID card.
  • Don’t ignore the symptoms of high altitude illness.
  • Don’t drink alcohol, caffeinated drink, or smoke.
  • Don’t stop at places which are marked by warning notices.
  • Don’t use slippers because there are steep rises and falls on the route to the Holy Cave. Only wear trekking shoes with laces.
  • Don’t attempt any short cuts on the route as doing so would be dangerous.
  • DDo not do anything during your entire forward/return journey which could cause pollution or disturb the environment of the Yatra area.Use of plastics is strictly banned in the State and is punishable under law.

About Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board

Of all Hindu deities, Lord Shiva is highly revered and popular amongst the devotees. To pay obeisance to Holy Ice Lingam, the devotees undertake the arduous annual pilgrimage to the Holy Cave Shrine located in Kashmir Himalayas in the months of June-August.
